NDR Ticketshop Relaunch
The NDR is German broadcast service that belongs to ARD, the “Working group of public broadcasters of the Federal Republic of Germany”. In its “Ticketshop” you can buy tickets for local events, especially for those in the new Elbphilharmonie.
Before the launch of the Elbphilharmonie building in my hometown Hamburg, the online ticket store should be relaunched in collaboration with Eventim, the ticket broker.
With a design done by another company I programmed a custom CMS system with RubyOnRails and Bootstrap as frontend framework. The content management is a custom solution tailored to the needs of the editors.
Due to the caching possibilities of Ruby on Rails, even the highly dynamic time based event contents can get delivered fast. The website includes a more sophisticated full text search powered by PostgreSql.
Part of the project was also the customizing and integration of the Eventim shop for selling the tickets.
